Acceptable Use Policy & AI Safety Standards

1. Purpose & Core Principles

Quiver was built to empower honest, talented professionals to articulate their genuine technical experience and connect with clients who need their specific skills. This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") establishes mandatory requirements to protect the integrity of the ecosystem, prevent deceptive AI generation, and safeguard third-party platforms.

2. Prohibited Conduct & Content

You may not use Quiver to generate, publish, transmit, or facilitate content that:

• Fabricates Credentials: Inventing non-existent degrees, fake certifications, fabricated client reviews, or false employment history. Quiver is designed for strict profile grounding; uploading intentionally fraudulent CVs is a material breach.
• Fraud & Impersonation: Impersonating another real person, firm, or competitor, or attempting to misrepresent your identity or physical location.
• Malicious Code & Exploits: Generating malware, keyloggers, phishing templates, ransomware, or attempting prompt injections to subvert platform guardrails.
• Harassment & Hate Speech: Generating abusive, defamatory, threatening, sexually explicit, or discriminatory communications.
• Illegal Services: Promoting illegal gambling, unlicensed financial schemes, blackhat hacking services, or illicit marketplace offerings.

3. Anti-Spam & Mass Outreach Directives

Quiver is designed for precision, personalized, high-conversion proposals — NOT automated mass spam. You must strictly adhere to the following rules:

• No Unsolicited Mass Blasts: You may not use generated content to send unsolicited high-volume bulk emails in violation of the CAN-SPAM Act, GDPR ePrivacy regulations, or CASL.
• Mandatory Opt-Outs for Cold Email: All direct cold pitch emails must contain clear, working opt-out instructions and accurate sender identification.
• No Bot Automation Overload: You may not script automated scrapers or headless browser bots that submit hundreds of proposals per hour to freelance platforms.

4. Third-Party Platform Policies

You agree to comply with the terms of service, community guidelines, and proposal rules of any platform where you submit work, including:

• Upwork: Terms of Use, User Agreement, and Proposal Best Practices.
• LinkedIn: User Agreement and Professional Community Policies.
• Fiverr: Terms of Service and Buyer/Seller Guidelines.
• Contra & Toptal: Independent Consultant Community Agreements.

5. Human-in-the-Loop Review Mandate

Quiver requires that all generated proposals, follow-up messages, and outreach copy undergo human review and verification before being sent to prospects. You are solely responsible for ensuring that all technical claims, project timelines, and price estimates match your actual capability.

6. Security, Scraping & Reverse Engineering

You agree NOT to:

• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems without authorization.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code or proprietary prompt schemas of Quiver.
• Bypass or tamper with rate limits, quota enforcement, or subscription tier locks.

7. Investigation & Penalties

We reserve the right to monitor aggregate platform telemetry for abusive patterns. If a violation of this AUP is detected, Quiver may take immediate action, including:

• Issuing formal warnings and requiring remediation.
• Throttling API rate limits or feature capabilities.
• Immediate account suspension or permanent termination without refund.
• Reporting severe criminal or fraudulent conduct to appropriate law enforcement authorities.

8. Reporting Violations

To report suspected abuse, spam, or security violations originating from Quiver services, please email abuse@quiver.app or security@quiver.app with full log headers and details.
